The house is located in Old Riga, Vaļņu Street 1, directly opposite the Powder Tower and Jēkabs barracks.

The building is built in Art Nouveau style.

It was started to be built in 1891 according to the project of architect G. Timers.

For a long time it was a brewery, as well as a carpenter’s workshop.

Only in 1921 it became a five-storey residential and office building. In 2000, a complete reconstruction of the building was performed.

Tenants of the building include such companies as: public authorities, stock exchange, shops, etc.
